I was literally just thinking about whether Entropia Universe would survive long enough to reach the UE5 release - https://www.reddit.com/r/entropiauniverse/comments/1p16f96/will_entropia_universe_survive_long_enough_to/ — and suddenly MindArk drops a dev update that actually points in the right direction - https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/3642750/view/615431029997438884
The planned changes to the crafting economy are exactly the kind of systemic adjustments many of us have been hoping for. Crafting affects everything: markup flow, resource demand, new-player progression, trader activity, and overall economic stability. If MA really follows through on this, it could do far more for the game than visuals or engine upgrades alone.
It’s refreshing to finally see attention going toward a core system instead of just cosmetic or isolated updates.
What do you all think?
Is this the start of the deeper fixes the economy needs, or is there still another major system you believe should be next in line for a rework?
